Privacy Policy

This policy explains how MALON collects, uses and protects your personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

2. What data we collect

Contact form ("Let’s Talk")

When you submit the contact form, we collect:

  • Full name (required)
  • Email address (required)
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Hotel or company name (required)
  • Areas of interest (optional)
  • Message content (optional)

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — processing necessary for pre-contractual measures at your request.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records technical data including IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamp. These logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days for security and diagnostics.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in operating a secure website.

3. How we use your data

Contact form data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and, if a business relationship follows, to communicate about the requested services. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell or share it with third parties beyond the processors listed in section 5.

4. Data retention

  • Contact form submissions: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you request earlier deletion.
  • Server logs: 30 days.

5. Third-party processors

The following services help us operate the site. Each has entered into a Data Processing Agreement or provides GDPR-compliant terms:

Vercel Inc. (USA)

Website hosting and content delivery. Privacy policy.

Web3Forms

Handles contact form submissions and delivers them to our email. Privacy policy.

Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA)

The site loads web fonts from Google’s servers. This may transmit your IP address to Google. Privacy policy.

6. Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15)
  • Have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16)
  • Request deletion of your data (Art. 17)
  • Restrict processing (Art. 18)
  • Receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20)
  • Object to processing (Art. 21)
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

This website does not currently use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
